Backgrounds: UVB radiation can also cause acute changes, such as sunburn and pigmentation, chronic photocarcinogenesis immunosuppression. The betalain compound in beetroot extract functions a potent anti-inflammatory agent. Method: This study employed true experimental with randomized post-test only control group design using 30 rats divided into three groups for treat 28 days. negative used placebo without exposure to (K1). positive exposed get (K2). treatment light treated red at dose of 500 mg/kg BW via oral (K3). TNF-? levels were measured ELISA. Sunburn cells by observing the epidermal under microscope. Statistical one-way ANOVA significantly p<0.05. Results: K1 was 33.464?1.533 ng/L, K2 47.546?4.194 K3 32.625?0.839 ng/L. number 0.280?0.611 cells/visual field 0.980?0.121 cells/HPF, 0.300?0.054 cells/HPF. Based on results Post-hoc (LSD) analysis, decreased compared (p=0.000), while not different from (p=0.824). Similarly, did differ (p=0.665). Conclusion: prevent inflammatory factor increased UVB.
